The free agent defensive tackle who played for the Titans last year will officially become available to all NFL teams on Friday. It is rumored that Albert Haynesworth will sign with the Washington Redskins.
Haynesworth cannot be franchised by the Titans because they franchised him last year and put a clause in the contract that they could not put the franchise tag on Albert Hanynesworth if he was named to the Pro Bowl.
Haynesworth is looking for a huge contract so going to the Redskins seems like a good fit. Daniel Synder, the owner of the redskins does hand out big contracts to big names. He likes to play fantasy football with his real team. That is the reason they have not won a playoff game in a long time.
Albert Haynesworth would be a big plus to the redskins because stopping the run especially in the nfc east is a big priority.

NBA All Star Weekend
The nba all star weekend is being held in Phoenix this year. The nba puts on a great show all weekend long. The festivites start on Friday night with the celebrity basketball game and rookies vs. sophomores game. All star Saturday night is always a fun night. They have added a game of HORSE to the skills challenge, 3 point contest and slam dunk contest.
Dwight Howard will be defending his slam dunk title this year. Dwight has great creativity and always puts on a good show. Last year he did the superman dunk and won by a landslide. This year he should come up with something even better than that. I will be watching to see his dunks.
Everything is capped off on Sunday night with the all star game. A great game to watch as not to much defense is played and the stars do some amazing things with cross over dribbles, look away passes and awesome dunks.

Will John Paxson, the general manager of the Chicago Bulls be out of job?
This is the big rumor that is going around during the NBA All Star Weekend.
It has been reported by Peter Vescey of the New York Post that he will resigned after the NBA trading deadline. The Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf is denying the rumor but Peter Vescey is usually right. He is not the type of journalist who wants to be first on story, he just wants it to be right.
If you follow the nba at all, you see that other journalist come out with rumors and then a few days later Vescey calls them on it and then tells you what his sources have told him. 9 out 10 times Vescey's version is the one that actually happens.
Now whether or not this rumor is true, John Paxson has put together a very good team of young players. One problem is that he never had a dominant inside presence. The team that he has presently built is a doughnut, no center.
I also did not agree with the hiring of Vinny Del Negro has head coach last summer. This is a guy who has no head coaching experience and you have a team of young players. He should have hired a coach who can teach these young guys how to play in the nba. So far, I have not seen much improvement from the young guys and they have actually taken a step back from a couple of years ago when they were in the playoffs.
